Why do you wish to apply for the Gamemaster position?:I want to help bring more unique Events onto the server that help bring it more life rather than stick to a repetitive cycle. While we have pretty awesome Events in the past, present and future regardless if I become a GM or not, I want to bring in some more unique one in; what of instead of going to a planet to shoot up some droids, we are sent as an excavation team to a new planet to uncover a monument from an Ancient (Non-Force Using) Civilization full of archaic traps? Or, a few Kaminoans visit the base for a close inspection of the troops and eliminate the "Defected" Clones whilst a rogue Clone is creating a Revolution against the Kaminoans behind the scenes? (like a mini civil war scenario) for example. Again, all the Events I've attended have been fun and exciting, but I want to help ensure that we get something a little different every so often.

What sets you apart from the other applicants?:
I have previous GM experience from GL (before it went under of course) up to about GMV if I recall correctly, and went up to SGM on this server previously, so I have a bit of experience of making Events and helping other GMs with theirs; or even something simple like helping people with their SIMs. I also like to create Unique Events that would stand out a bit more to add more variety at times.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your creativity?:6-7 Depending on my energy (as my sleep schedule can be a bit chaotic)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your knowledge of the lore?:About a 4-5 as I grew up with the Prequel trilogy and the Original trilogy, even a bit of the (mind numbing) sequel trilogy. I also know a bit of KOTOR/SWTOR lore, though not too much. I don't mind being told or encountering a spoiler though!

Provide an example of an event you can create:
Title: "Kore Worlds, Part One"
Event Type: Off Map

How many GMs: 2-3 (if there is a large group of players) | 1-2 (if there is a small group of players)

How many ECs: 1-2 (if there is a small group of players) | 2-3 (if there is a large group of players)

Summary: "Ok, troops, we just got this Mission Briefing 5 minutes ago and we need to be ready in 30 seconds; so I'll make this quick. Professor Walton Snapz is a renown Republic Archeologist that has been traversing many worlds, hunting down various fossils and discovering certain monuments that have been built by Ancient Civilizations that are older than even the founding of the Senate itself. Recently, however, the Professor has been under the close eye of an unknown terrorist group due to the nature of the current Civilization the Scholar has been working on. Dr. Snapz has been quite hesitant to reveal the details of his current research, but whatever it is, it's important enough for High Command to task us with his protection during his trip to the Xym-Li System for his next Excavation. So, keep your eyes peeled men; whatever we may find could prove to be dangerous..."

Details:
Story wise, the Professor is being chased by a secret group called "The Medusa Coalition" which are a team of Archeologists that are obsessed with obtaining special relics hidden by an Ancient Civilization called the Kore; a race that extended their reach to every corner of the galaxy centuries ago. With little evidence of their species existed with the exceptions of a few Monuments that have been spread to each random planet across space. What they used to do is unknown, but it is hinted that whatever they do, they aided in the expansion of their race. The Professor discovered this by chance during one of his previous excavations and wish for the Republic to either destroy or secure a hidden relic within one of the monuments before it could be collected for nefarious purposes. Depending on the amount of players that would be on, they would either go with the Professor in one big group exploring the main entranceway of the temple. Or, if there's too many people, then there will be two groups: the main group with the Professor or the secondary group that will instead use the alternate entrance into the monument with through a torn down wall.

With Group 1, there will be 2 puzzles the group needs to solve before they open the main chamber and meet up with Group 2.

  1. The first puzzle is called the "Path of Ambition" or, a false floor puzzle. If you don't walk the correct path, you will fall into a pit trap that will kill you. (either by having multiple enemies being spawned down there or some mines placed depending on the design) To prevent anyone from being too cheeky and using shortcuts, the Professor (who I forgot to mention, would be the main GC during this Event) will explain that the Group would be prohibited from using shortcuts whether by jetpacks, force jumps or just by shooting the floors. As they could trigger wall traps (AKA: one of the GMs would 1 shot them)

  2. The second puzzle is called the "Door of Riddles" where the Group needs to answer correctly to a sentient statue. If they get a single one wrong, they will be bombarded with enemies until they get all 3 riddles right. If the Group struggles for too long, then the Professor will suggest that the Group should ask the statue an extremely difficult riddle, which would cause the statue to huff in frustration before opening the sealed doors.

With Group 2, they will be listening to the 2nd GC who would be appointed before the event to lead Group 2 as they will be going through what appears to be an old treasury filled with mummified remains of servants that served under the Kore species. What is remarkable about this treasure room, however, is an object that appears at first glance to be a Holocron; instead, it is a fake made for a trap to be sprung (basically, if anyone tries to nab it, like most MC nowadays >:L) the mummified corpses will reanimate and go for the attack. Once the treasury is cleared of the corpses, the entrance to the room will be open and will lead to a half destroyed staircase that would be a little parkour area for the Group to climb up until they reach the main hall with Group 1.

Once both Groups meet up and scout out the hall, some of the Medusa Coalition agents will burst in behind the two groups and take the Professor as hostage. Depending on what the troops decide, the Professor will either be captured or will be rescued. Either way, a scuffle will commence between the troops and the Coalition for a bit; until a Monument Guardian will break down the doors to the last room that holds the relic. Depending on the outcome, either the Coalition Team Leader will be captured for questioning or will use the confusion to escape with the Professor (or even just attempt to escape without the scholar) After the Guardian is down, the GC (either the Professor if he isn't captured, or the 2nd GC that was appointed prior to the Event) will order the troops to try to find the relic and contain it. Once they do so, they can head back to base.

Do you understand that abuse of power will result in your removal and blacklist?:
Yes, I am aware and will100% understand make sure that it will never come down to this happening to me. If it does, than I only have myself to blame.

What is your prior experience with gamemastering or similar roles?:
As mentioned previously, I have quite a bit of experience being GMV a couple years back. Although I am not 100% sure on how to do an Off Map as my first Off Map back on GL was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances that caused me to leave GL as a whole. While I never progressed to Senior GM, I did help out fellow GMs when I can and was even given the ropes to train people on being GM at times along with having some experience with GM interviews, sometimes even helping the GM in charge in their deliberation of a Trial GM. Though, it has been a couple of years as I believe the last time I was GM was 2023 maybe, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. But am willing to jog my memory with some refresher training or even learning something new I didn't know before.

How do you handle conflict and difficult situations?:
I try to be as neutral as I can while also trying to find a compromise between two parties if they are at odds so that everyone would get a little something they want added in. But, if a conflict gets overly severe, I try to ask for help when I can as while I don't mind trying to resolve conflicts, I struggle if things get from 0 to 100% fast out of nowhere.

What are your preferred event genres or themes?:
Unique Events as previously stated. I don't mind sticking to the status quo of hunting down CIS forces or saving a town, but would rather try to think up of something that hasn't really been done much or at all for some more fun experiences. Again, don't mind the old song and dance with us versus the CIS but would prefer to shake things up when I can.

Is there anything else you wish to add?:
Thank you for taking your time looking over this app <3
