RSB Major Armand Introduction

Major Armand was born in the lower levels of Coruscant, far from the shining spires of the Senate District. His family were mid-ranking civil servants loyal to the Republic, but never powerful enough to escape the suffocating bureaucracy of the Core. Growing up in the shadow of corruption and crime, Armand learned quickly that survival required watchfulness, discretion, and an understanding of how power truly worked.

Drawn to order and precision, Armand pursued education in political sciences and law enforcement, eventually being recruited into the Republic Security Bureau. Unlike many of his peers who sought influence or comfort, he volunteered for the most dangerous assignments: rooting out corruption within the lower levels of Coruscant and dismantling Separatist spy networks operating in the Core. These years forged his reputation as an unrelenting investigator, willing to dig deeper and push harder than most dared.

When the Clone Wars began, the Bureau expanded its authority and Armand rose swiftly. His sharp intuition and cold efficiency earned him a place among the Bureau’s most trusted field operatives. By the second year of the war, he had attained the rank of Major, frequently embedded with Republic military units. Unlike a clone commander or Jedi general, Armand’s role was never to lead openly in battle. Instead, he operated in the shadows providing intelligence briefings, intercepting Separatist transmissions, and ensuring that traitors, spies, or weak links were eliminated before they could cripple an operation.

His methods, however, often placed him at odds with the Jedi. Armand valued results and security above idealism. Interrogations that lasted too long, sting operations that blurred legality, and the use of informants drawn from the criminal underworld earned him suspicion from the Order. To him, though, such measures were not corruption they were necessity. The Republic could not afford purity when its survival was at stake.

Now, Major Armand serves as both a watchdog and a strategist. His presence on any battlefield is a signal that the Republic is not only fighting an enemy outside its walls, but guarding against betrayal within. To clones, he is both respected and feared a man whose sharp eyes miss nothing, and whose arrival usually means that something far larger is unfolding than what the troopers see on the surface.
